Edo Motorsports was
invited to the Grassroots Motorsports Magazine ultimate track car
challenge. It was a one day event
with the EdoMoto Integra participating in the Independent Junior Varsity
class.
There were 4 sessions throughout the day with the first session being practice. Edik drove the Integra at Honda Challenge track record pace with a 2:03.494 in his second session. The track surface heated up the rest of the day and lap times did not improve. In the third session, a valve dropped halfway into the piston chamber and hit the piston several times before Edik could press the clutch and turn off the car. The piston can be reused, but the engine head has to be replaced before the next Honda Challenge race.
The result was Edik finishing in 4th place
in his class out of 9 competitors behind several high horsepower race
cars. The other positives of the
day were that Edik put in a fast lap for the car and the Edomoto Integra
will appear in an upcoming issue of Grassroots Motorsports
The Edomoto Integra will be out
at Buttonwillow on June 21,22 for the next Honda Challenge race.
